Sims4 The MasterChef Oasis Springs Cooking Challenge

These rules were found on Java with SimDoughnut — The MasterChef Oasis Springs Cooking Challenge… (tumblr.com)

The Contestants:

This challenge will require you to control a total of eight Sims.  Three of the sims will be the judges (you can find the judges I created in my Sims4 gallery, or create your own), the other five will be the contestants.  You can elect to have more contestants, and less Judges, but you must have a least one judge and he should have the cooking aspiration and be a foodie.

The contestants and judges will live at the MasterChef Studio.  You can find the studio I built in my gallery, or create your own. That is completely up to you.  If you elect to have less judges and more contestants, and you wish to use my Studio build, you will have to create additional work stations.

General Rules:

1) None of the contestants can start with any cooking, baking or bar-tending abilities.  I would recommend skilling up at least 2 of the judges to lvl 5 cooking prior to the challenge starting to make it easier and more challenging for the Immunity challenges.  The cooking aspiration and foodie trait are recommended but not required for contestants.

2) Once the competition begins, none of the contestants may leave the facility for any reason with the following exceptions:
To visit a hospital if they are sick (This will automatically put them into an elimination if it occurs on a Monday).
To Fish. Fishing is allowed from 9am-12pm on non cook days. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
To go Jogging. Contestants may go jogging on any day but not during scheduled cooks.

3) Contestants may not use the competition kitchens on non cook days. A separate every day cooking kitchen should be included adjoining the living spaces.  Contestants are all responsible for the maintenance, cleaning and upgrades of general living area facilities. No maids, gardeners, handymen, or pizza delivery.

4) Contestants may read, research online, and watch cooking shows on TV to improve their cooking skills on non cook days, but may not use any cheats to raise their cooking ability or to change any other emotions.

5) Each Contestant will be assigned 3 planters to grow fresh herbs and vegetables in so as to improve the quality of their recipes. It is the responsibility of the contestants to operate and maintain those 3 planters at all times during their time in the competition.

6) Contestants may not be employed while competing. You may use the funds that initially come with the household to purchase meals for cooking, and seeds for the planters. You may not alter the family income with cheats.  It is however recommended that you use the “freerealestate” cheat to move your judges and contestants on to the site of the contest. You can elect to sell things grown in the garden, selfies, and painting to raise income for the monthly “utility” bill, but the competition shouldn’t take that long.

7) While dating among contestants is not frowned upon you may not leave the premises to go on a Date, so if you wish to go on “Date” the destination must be the MasteChef studio. Pregnancies should be avoided as this is grounds for elimination from the contest. (for medical reasons). Sorry but no raising babies during the competition.

Cooking Competition Rules:

1) Each week will consist of three challenges.  A General cook, an Elimination cook, and an Immunity challenge.

2) As the “Head Judge” you as the player will determine which recipe the contestants will have to cook for each of the challenges. It is recommended that you select Gourmet options as they become available.

3) The cooking challenges will take place at 9am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  General cook on Monday.  Elimination cook on Wednesday.  Immunity cook on Friday. If a contestant is sick for the Monday  cook, they immediately move to the Wednesday elimination cook. If they are in Elimination and are sick they are ejected from the competition. If they are sick during an Immunity Challenge they forfeit their chance at Immunity.

4) Loosing bladder control or becoming “Stinky” during the General cook will immediately move the player to the elimination round.  Loss of bladder control or becoming stinky during the Elimination cook will result in the contestant being ejected from the competition.  Loss of bladder control or becoming stinky during the Immunity challenge will forfeit the chance at immunity.

MasterChef is a family show so the management strongly recommends that all contestants be properly bathed and use the restroom prior to a cook.

5) Falling asleep or passing out during a General cook will move the contestant to Elimination round, eject a contestant during an Elimination round, or forfeit immunity during an Immunity challenge.

Basically, the contestants should be well rested on cook days.

6) Contestants are responsible for the upkeep of the equipment at their workstations during a cook. If the Stove/Oven or Sink breaks during a cook they much stop and repair those appliances prior to resuming their cook. In the event of puddles, those must be mopped prior to continuing the cook. If counters become dirty they much clean the counters before resuming the cook.

7) Contestants may upgrade the appliances at their workstation, but only on cook days.  Basically, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, after the days cook has been completed.  They may not enter the competition kitchen at any other time.

The Contestant Work Stations:

In addition to the three planter boxes mentioned above, each contestant will be supplied with a cooking workstation for the duration of their time in the contest. This workstation shall consist of 4 counters, 1 stove/oven and one sink. Quality of these items is up to the Head Judge but all contestants must receive the same equipment.  If you wish to include the cupcake machine for your competition then all contestants much be supplied with their own machine.  As contestants are eliminated from the competition  you may elect to sell off any unused workstations to generate income for the household.

General Cook Challenge:

The General cook will take place on Monday at 9am for all remaining contestants. Choice of Recipe is up to the Head Judge, but it is recommended that the recipe chosen is commensurate with the skill level of the remaining contestants (Gourmet when available). The recipe can be a Savory Meal, a Dessert, a Baking challenge, or make use of the Cupcake machine. All the above rules apply. A General cook will end when there is one clear winner, and a maximum of three contestants moving on to he Elimination challenge on Wednesday.  The winner of the General Cook will move on to the Immunity Challenge on Friday. The winner of a General cook and any contestants not advancing to the Elimination Challenge will view the elimination proceedings from the gallery above the competition cooking area.

Elimination Challenge:

The Elimination Challenge will take place on Wednesday at 9am for no more than 3 contestants who scored the worst in the General cook. As with the General cook, the choice of Recipe is up to the Head Judge and should be commensurate with the level of the contestants (Gourmet when available).  An Elimination Challenge will end when there is one clear loser and that contestant will be ejected from the competition and the MasterChef studio/home. Any contestant who survives an Elimination challenge or is not taking part in the challenge will view the proceedings from a gallery above the competition kitchen.

Immunity Challenge:

The Immunity Challenge will take place on Friday at 9am.  As with the other cooks the choice of recipe is up to the Head Judge and should be commensurate with the current skill levels (Gourmet if available). In an immunity challenge the winner of the previous General cook will go up against one of the resident judges in a cook off. The Head Judge will determine which of the resident judges will take part in this cook The Immunity challenge will end when there is a clear winner.  If the contestant beats the resident judge in the cook off they win an “Immunity Pin” and may elect to use it to avoid taking part in any future Elimination Challenge they may otherwise be forced to take part in. Once an Immunity Pin is “used” they must earn another or take part in any required Elimination Challenges.

The Grand Finale:

At the point where there are only two contestants remaining in the competition a Grand Finale will be scheduled. The dates to be determined by the Head Judge. This Grand Finale will consist of a Dinner Party Event in the MasterChef studio dining room hosted by each of the two remaining contestants on two separate days. Each contestant must act as the “Host” and “Caterer” of the Dinner Party and may elect to hire the 3 ejected contestants to fill other positions at the party. Each contestant will choose his/her own menu for the dinner party (Gourmet when available). The resident judges, the opposing contestant, and any non hired eliminated contestants will serve as the guests, along with any other sims the contestant may have come in contact with.

The winner of the Grand Finale and new MasterChef Grand Champion will be the contestant who has the most successful dinner party.

Judging:

All food cooked will be taken to a Judges table to be consumed by the judges. Hence, each contestant should cook the appropriately sized portions (4) during all competition cooks.  Food will be judged based solely on the quality level of the food prepared, with Perfect being the best and Poor being the worst.

In the event of a tie or multiple ties, another round of cooking will take place until there are clear winners or losers.  All the above rules must be observed during any tie-breaking cooks. In the event of a tie during the Grand Finale, a sudden death cook off will take place between the two contestants and continue until there is a clear winner.

Suggestions:

Have fun ;)! Fun is what this challenge is supposed to be about.

The Cooking Aspiration and Foodie traits are very handy for this challenge, but feel free to mix up traits and aspirations for your contestants as you like to make the contestant interactions more interesting.

If you intend to build your own MasterChef Studio/home I recommend at least a 40×30 lot. You will need a separate competition kitchen (with gallery above it), a day to day kitchen, living/recreation area, bathrooms and sleeping quarters. That will require quite a bit of space.
